Veneno, a new limited series from HBO Max, tells the story of Cristina Ortez Rodriguez, a Spanish transgender singer and television personality, who was better known by the nickname “La Veneno”. Valerie Vegas, a transgender journalism student, decides to meet Cristina and talk to her about her journey. The trailer shows these two women struggling and learning to embrace their identities, as the show depicts the progress of Spanish society from the 1960s to the present day.
Created by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, the eight-part limited series stars Jedet, Daniela Santiago, Isabel Torres, Lola Rodriguez, Paca “La Pirana”, Desiree Rodriguez and others.
Veneno premieres on November 19, 2020 only on HBO Max.
