He introduces himself as Will to the LA world, and very quickly, lands himself a new love interest, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti, The Haunting of Hill House). She is an aspiring chef, who trusts and loves easily. Avid followers of 'You' must know that Joe had killed his previous love, Beck, at the end of Season 1, along with a spate of other murders. But try as he might shake it off, Joe's past comes back to haunt him, even in LA. And it is in the form of Candace (Ambyr Childers), his ex-girlfriend, whom he had presumed he had killed, one among the many murders he had committed in Season 1.
But unfortunately for him, Candace is very much alive and very much in LA, to make life hell for him. The trailer shows a lot of blood and gore, with quick visuals of blood-spattered floors, Joe's bloodied hands and dead bodies, indicating that Joe is back to his killing spree. As Candace warns in the voice-over, "If he loves you, that's the most dangerous thing."
The trailer gives a taste of what's in store for viewers this season. And as you watch the two and a half minute trailer, you realize that the narrative will not let up on the creepy, chilling feel of Season 1. If anything, the psychological thriller is gonna be even creepier this time. You, Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on 26th December.
