Viu ranked on top with maximum OTT users in South East Asia

The Pan-regional OTT video service – Viu, which owns 41 million active users on the monthly scale has been ranked with the highest number of users among video streaming platforms in Southeast Asia. This has been confirmed through the research that was embarked on by AMPD Research, a subsidiary of Media Partners Asia between January 20th to April 11th, 2020 in the four Southeast Asia markets and this includes the feedbacks gained from the sample of 32,245 individuals.
The complete details of the rankings are as follows:
- It is No.1 when it comes to users across video streaming platforms of Southeast Asian regions and this excludes YouTube.
- When it comes to streaming minutes, Viu holds No.2 position in Southeast Asia excluding YouTube.
- On the front of time spent on weekly basic, Viu holds No. 4 position in the countries – Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, which again excludes YouTube.
